Isaac Anthony Newland was born in Kentucky February 8,
1801, a son of Ezekiel and Milly Douglas Newland. He was a Baptist
preacher and farmer. He met his wife, Hannah Jane Hicks in Boone County,
Missouri, where they were married February 15, 1827. Hannah was a daughter
of James D. and Sarah (Davis) Hicks. Together they were the parents of:

a son of John and Margaret (Best) Newland. He married Milly Douglas, a
daughter of George and Rebecca Douglas Nov 8, 1791. They were the parents
