William Myers was born about 1824 in Missouri. He married
Catherine Elizabeth Reeves Oct 2, 1845 in Schuyler County, MO. While we do
not have verification yet, we are leaning toward thinking that Taylor
Myers is a son of William and Catherine. This is in part to information on
Schuyler County census records, as well as family lore.
Family has it that Taylor Myers had a brother named James who died
under suspicious circumstances in Texas about 1914; and that he had a
sister named Elizabeth or "Lizzy" that married a Whittom and
received a widow's pension. William's family lists not only a Zachary T.
but also a James and an Elizabeth:

William Myers and his family seem to disappear from Schuyler County
about 1870 (not on 1870 census), so we have no conclusive death dates yet
for any of this family.
