Genealogy fun & links
My first introduction to genealogy was through my mother. I can remember as a small child her taking us with her (as she had no baby sitter) to courthouses, to visit "old" relatives, and much to our dismay, cemeteries. (Those visits to cemeteries were almost ALWAYS done just before dusk!! **shudder**)

Mom always took us plenty of books and crayons and color books to "amuse" us, but I found myself more often than not interested in what SHE was doing. As I learned to read and understand better, I often tried to help her, or I just read through old records myself while she was busy with "family tree" things. I was probably 10 when I realized that this wasn't just for fun - but was a passion. As the years passed, I took more and more of an interest in it, and helped mom as I could. When the time came and I married and began my own family, I automatically began doing my husband's side of the tree, too!

As the years have passed, I have not only shared many wonderful - very special and very cherished - moments with my mother, grandparents, and other family members, but I've tried to share and cultivate the love of "genealogy" within my own children. While none of them have taken it up whole-heartedly, they all share an interest in what I'm finding out about their ancestors. This has spread now to our nieces, nephews and cousins! More and more lately we are finding more of the family IS interested in where it was - and who it was - that we came from!

So, these pages are to share what we, as a group, have found on our family with newly found cousins and with other family members who might be interested! Enjoy!
